Talk about a throwback, this was shot a while ago when I used to work in marketing. I would spend my brief lunch breaks planning out blog posts and outfits constantly. And one day this is what I came up with: a “To Kill A Mockingbird” theme, an out of service train station at a local casino, and the most vintage outfit I owned.

I chose this book to work around simply because I love it. I like the lessons that are in it and just how it was written. I own the movie, and I’ve seen it several times. I cry every time during the heated courtroom scene, but it pulls you in as though you’re seated with everybody and you have no choice in that matter. You can’t help but feel what Atticus is feeling. It’s heartbreaking to think that  such things happen to people based on judgement alone. But there are happy parts too as you watch Jem and his sister Scout grow in the eyes of Atticus, learning all that they do from the world around them. In fact when Stan and I were picking out our list of possible baby names last year, I had Scout and Atticus on my list 🙂

I still haven’t had a chance to read Harper Lee’s latest book “Go Set A Watchmen.” but believe me, I plan too haha. It may be a birthday present to me in a few months 😉

“I think there’s just one kind of folks. Folks.”

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
